#Vook Wish List Week 1
We had a great first week of our #Vook Wish List Twitter contest. Many tweeps submitted ideas and it definitely got us all thinking: which books would make awesome vooks? With all the ideas we got, one stood out for us. @RobertaMurphy tweeted:
@vooktv With The Last Lecture there’s the voice, the face, the words…the message. It would be a powerful #vook.
With vooks, we want to weave the written word with high quality videos with connections to the web and other readers in order to create a new experience that transcends the ordinary. We picked Roberta’s entry as the winner because her reason for why The Last Lecture would make a great vook resonated with what we hope to accomplish — to encapsulate all the facets of a story by using every medium at our disposal to bring it to life.
Congratulations @RobertaMurphy! We hope you enjoy your $30 gift card to iTunes! Let us know what you buy with it
And for the rest of you, another week and another contest begins! Think about which of your favorite books would benefit the most (all books will make great vooks) from being envookinated (someone on Twitter came up with that, I kinda like it! What do you think?). Tell us which one and why. Don’t forget to include “#vook” in your answer so when we search for entries we can find yours!
Happy Monday! Hope you all have a great week See you on Twitter!
[Note: Just to be clear, we are not making The Last Lecture into a vook -- it was the subject of the winning Challenge tweet last week.]
