Introducing . . . Matthew Cavnar

I’ve been put in charge of introducing all you lovely readers to our amazing team.  I’ve worked with a lot of great people over the years but I’m truly excited to be working with the Vookers — and to tell you more about them here.

So, without further ado, let me introduce Matthew Cavnar, who is directing our marketing efforts and helping refine our product design.

Matthew Cavnar has always been on the leading edge of innovation. Whether producing video for TurnHere, Broadway shows, Current Television and major publishing houses, producing narrated radio stories for Public Radio International’s Studio 360 or helping launch popular daily email services such as Tasting Table and Very Short List, Matthew brings a level of focus to his work that is only found in the creative and hardworking (this guy puts my workaholic habits to shame!).

He is also obsessed with books. He loves to read almost as much as I do (if anyone can come up with a test or  contest to quantify which one of us loves to read more PLEASE leave it in the comments below so we can settle this debate once and for all! ;) ).

This love for innovation and books is why he jumped at the opportunity to work at Vook. As he told me, “Vook is incorporating all the technology and possibilities of the Internet into books — which is something I’ve always wanted in my reading experience. So I get to work for a company that’s making my reading experience better. And I get to help decide how that experience is going to be improved. What more could I ask for?”

You can find out more about him here. PS. He is the guy to the right in the picture in the plaid shirt. The others in the frame are two of our wonderful filmmakers.
