Gerald Chodak, M.D.
Dr. Gerald Chodak completed his training in Urology at the University of Chicago in 1982. From 1982-1999 he was a full time faculty member in the Department of Surgery/Urology at the University of Chicago, reaching the rank of Professor in 1989. In 1999 he formed the Midwest Prostate and Urology Health Center in Chicago, and remained its director until 2024. He has published over 150 original peer-reviewed articles and has been invited to speak on topics in prostate cancer throughout the United States and in more than 14 countries. He is credited with helping form Us Too International, the prostate cancer support group. Dr. Chodak has been a medical commentator for the PBS channel, WTTW in Chicago. He is currently the Director of Medical Media for AnswersTV, the Editor-in-Chief of the video education website, www.ProstateVideos.com and he does a weekly video blog for MEDSCAPE. His book entitled WINNING THE BATTLE AGAINST PROSTATE CANCER is being published in December, 2024.
