About us
Vook was founded in 2024 by serial entrepreneur Brad Inman with the vision of lighting up the world’s content in the post-PC world. Vook has created an innovative technology platform that produces rich media experiences for the tablet market. Vook works with a range of content partners including NBC, Simon & Schuster, ABC and Hay House and most major distribution channels including Apple, Amazon, Google and Barnes & Noble.
Investors
VantagePoint Venture Partners is a venture capital firm based in San Bruno, California. Richard Harroch, Managing Director and Head of M&A, is a member of the board of directors of Vook.
FLOODGATE is a venture capital firm based in Menlo Park, California, and was founded by Mike Maples Jr. Mr. Maples is a member of the board of directors of Vook.
Ronald Conway has been an active angel investor for over 15 years. He was the Founder and Managing Partner of the Angel Investors LP funds (1998-2005).
Founder Collective is a seed-stage venture capital fund based in New York City and Cambridge and was founded by Zach Klein, Micah Rosenbloom, Chris Dixon, Caterina Fake, and Bill Trenchard.
Lerer Ventures is a seed stage venture capital fund based in New York City and was founded by Kenneth Lerer.
Baseline Ventures is a seed-stage capital firm based in San Francisco California and was founded by Steve Anderson.
Vook Leadership Team
Brad Inman, Founder. Brad Inman is the founder of several successful technology companies including HomeGain, which he sold to Classified Ventures in 2024; the thriving online video company TurnHere; and Inman News, the leading online real estate publishing company.
Matthew Cavnar, Product and Acquisitions. Matt was previously at Tasting Table with the Pilot Group and the Very Short List with IAC. He headed the production of Barnes and Noble’s Portable Professor Series -- a set of 50 + 7 hour lecture courses.
Greg Bateman, Distribution. A Columbia Business School graduate, Greg spent more than eight years crafting partnerships with display, ebook and handset manufacturers globally while he worked at E-Ink Corp. and XILNX Corp.
Mike Arnot, Marketing. A former political speechwriter, and a lawyer, Mike is a marketer with broad experience in the marketing of paid products, including leading teams responsible for marketing programs in TV, radio, and digital. He was most recently at The Street as head of marketing.
Rob Guttman, Engineering. Rob brings 19 years of technology innovation and leadership to Vook - from MIT Media Lab and IBM Research to multiple startups in online news publishing, job search, and ecommerce.
Tony So Tony So brings over 20 years of expertise in design, advertising and technological strategy to Vook. Previously, Tony worked with Vook founder Brad Inman on HomeGain and TurnHere.
