Their goal was not to tell stories, but to exhibit through black and white photography, the great sights of the world as they existed at that time. No one has done it quite so impressively since. More than 250 images of panoramic views of cities, street scenes, public buildings and everyday life of the people living in these places. Every image is carefully arranged and appropriately explained by James and Daniel Shepp.

First published by Globe Bible publishers in 1892, Shepp’s Photographs of the World was the must-have coffee table book of the Victorian era.
